About Me

Creating art is my passion, something that I have enjoyed all my life.

My journey in art began after graduating from an Art institute in Delhi, when  I started painting on silks. This led to creating garments from these silks that flourished into a hand painted, embroidery business.

I sold my business in 1994 and moved to New Zealand.

Here I choose to become an art teacher. This indeed has been the most  enriching experience. I learnt, I taught, I created, I love every bit of it. Teaching is more than a full time role, however, I made time to do my own art and took part in annual art exhibitions at Affordable Art NZ, WATA exhibitions, both in Nelson and Wellington.

I started working on functional art when I lived in Bali. I worked alongside with artists to create art that could be used: functional. I experimented, I learnt and I finally developed a range of products that were unique, functional and aesthetically beautiful.
